Sri Lankan boxer Thiwanka Ranasinghe beat Berry Namri of Vanuatu 5-0 on decisions in the Men's 46-49kg quarterfinal bout at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (10).
With the win Ranasinghe qualifies for the semi-finals against England's Galal Yafai where he is assured of at least a bronze medal.
Ranasinghe obtained scores of 30-26, 3-027, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 from the five judges to record the win.
He will meet Yafai in the Men's 46-49kg Semi-final 1 bout on Friday (13) at 8.32am Sri Lanka time.
