Sri Lanka's Janaka Wimalasiri finished overall seventh in the Men's Long Jump final with the best of 7.89m at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (11).
In Wimalasiri's six attempts he failed thrice (1st, 5th and 6th) but cleared 7.52m, 7.89m and 7.50m in the remaining attempts respectively.
South Africa's Luvo Manyonga won the gold medal with a new meet record of 8.41m.
Australia's Henry Frayne won the silver medal with 8.33m while Ruswahi Samaai claimed the bronze medal after clearing 8.22m.
