An Open Standard Cycle Race organised by ‘Ekamuthu’ Youth Society of Vihara Mawatha, Kotalawela, Kaduwela will be conducted for the fifth consecutive year, commencing from Vihara Mawatha, Kotalawala next Saturday (10).
The race will flag off at 8.00am at the Vihara Mawatha Junction and will take the route through Pittugala, Malabe, Arangala, Athurugiriya, Panagoda, Leyland Junction, Embulgama Junction, Ranala, Nawagamuwa, Welle Junction and return at Vihara Mawatha Junction, Kaduwela.
The four- lap race will cover a total distance of 124 kilometres and the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 while the second and third place will receive cash prizes of Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
The organisers expect around 150 riders and first 20 winners will receive cash prizes.
