Dialog-ST 2018: Emerging Denuwan reaches 9612 on count 16

While S. Thomas' College leg-spinner Dellon Peiris continues to dominate the All-Island Schools of the Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy / Schoolgirl Cricketer of the Year 2018, Denuwan Perera of Carey College closes in to 10000 votes in the Emerging Schools at the end of the 16th week. 

For yet another week Dellon received the highest number of combined votes with 1775, he takes his total to 18731. 

He leads Sachin Silva by 7356, far ahead from the deficit of last week. 

Sachin of St. Peter's College, added 1398 combined votes and reached 11375, as both top contenders stand far ahead of the rest. 

At third is Vihan Gunasekara of D.S. Senanayake College, who seems to be comfortable with his current run. 

He added 34 during the ended week, as his total reached 4625. 

Ananda College skipper Asel Sigera follows in at fourth with Kavin Peiris of Lumbini College at fifth while the rest are yet to reach the 1000 mark. 

Denuwan of Carey College, continues to dominate the Emerging Schools category for yet another week as he closes in to the landmark of 10000 votes. 

His total reached 9612 by this week after adding up 1361 combined votes. 

He leads Kenula Gunaratne of St. Aloysius College Ratnapura, by 3764 votes, marginally ahead. 

Harshitha Samarawickrama of Anula Vidyalaya, has slowed down a bit in the Girls' Category. 

Her count is 5457 with the addition of 302 combined votes while leading Pabasara Ranabahu of Rathnavali Girls' School Gampaha by 988. 

Comparing with the deficit of last week, the gap between the two has marginally dropped this week. 

Pabasara added 715 combined votes, continuing her pace intact, and took her tally to 4469. 

Kaveesha Dilhani of Devapathiraja MV, Rathgama and Ruwini Nandasena of St. Joseph's Girls School are the other two contenders in the list. 

On coupons and online votes 

Coupons will be published in the two English dailies, the Daily Mirror and DailyFT, and the two Sinhala dailies, Daily Lankadeepa and Ada and Sinhala Weekend, Deshaya with the deadline set in 11 more weekends. 

Readers could vote for their favourite schoolboy or schoolgirl cricketer and take them to the winning post during this period. 

Dialog Axiata's online voting system through their official Online Portal to vote for the Most Popular Cricketer (www.dialog.lk/cricket). 

Online voting will be open until April 5, 2018. 

Both coupon votes and online votes will be counted on a weekly basis and the official results published from every Sunday in the five newspapers and its websites. 

The deadline for COUPONS and ONLINE VOTES will be every Thursday Noon. Online Votes received after the weekly cutoff time will be counted for the next week, while for Coupons, ONLY those numbered for the particular week will be taken into count. 

This week's digital voting count was monitored and approved by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers.
