Amana Takaful recorded a comfortable 6-1 victory over ExpoLanka to clinch the Cup title of the 37th Annual Mercantile Football 7s Championship played at the CR and FC ground in Colombo.
Amana led 3-1 at halftime and went on to extend their lead by adding three more goals to win the final comfortably.
In the semi-final Amana beat Hatton National Bank 3-1 while in the quarter-final they overcame Sri Lanka Telecom 4-0 easily.
In group matches Amana beat Ceylinco by 4-0 and Singer Sri Lanka by 2-0 to finish on top.
Skipper of Amana Takaful, Mohamed Fazal was adjudged the player of the tournament while the winning team's Mohamed Uzman won the best goal keeper award.
