After a nine-week long break for the National team’s preparation activities, the Super 8 round of the Dialog Champions League 2016, football’s most popular competition is now scheduled to resume this weekend.
“We are now geared to continue from where we stopped of the Super 8 round from this Saturday (19),” Jaswar Umar, the FFSL CEO stated.
This time the Super 8 round will be played at City Football League and Kelaniya Football grounds.
The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) is also looking at the possibilities of playing some games at outstation venues such as Matara and Kandy in order to make the game popular, provide more entertainments to many football fans.
Jaffna is already confirmed as the one of the location for a weekend.
