Golf: Avancka Herat win Standard Chartered Bank title too

The Standard Chartered Bank sponsored a special Golf Tournament conducted at the picturesque Shangri-La Hambantota Golf Course for Standard Chartered Bank, Customers, who were hosted for the 2 day Tournament enjoying the newly laid-out links Course bordering the beautiful Southern Beach and Sea. 

The overall Best Gross Score prize in the Stableford format was won by Avancka Herat, the incumbent Captain of the Royal Colombo Golf Club, whilst the Vice Captain of the RCGC W.A.K. Fernando earned the Runner-up prize. 

Immediate Past captain of RCGC Ranil Pathirana won the A Division Stableford Nett prize from Shamal Perera on a count back, whilst Gamini Jayaweera and Ashvin Mohinnani won the B and C divisions respectively. 

Ruvini Desinghe won the Ladies category from Niloo Jayathilaka. 

There were consolation prizes awarded for the longest drive, nearest to the Pin, etc; providing many winners and a fantastic week-end to the enthusiastic Golfers who also enjoyed the VIP treatment courtesy of Standard Chartered Bank and the Shangri-La experience, a credit to Sri Lanka.
