Golf: Nuwara Eliya Club Championship gets off the road

The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club Championship is the feature Calendar ‘golfing’ event and is bound to be competitive with over 45 entries in the Men’s category and the best of the Ladies competing for the Ladies NEGC Club Champion title. 

Ranil Peiris the defending Men’s Champion is looking to complete a hat-trick of wins having won the NEGC Championship 2015 and 2016. 

Sachin De Silva a former winner, experienced golfers Kushal Johnpillai, Nimal Wettimuny and the young rising star Vinod Weerasinghe will definitely make the ‘Champion’ chase tough. 

In the Ladies Championship 2016 Winner Niloo Jayathilaka Fernando defends her title from Runner up Praveena Dunuwille, whilst Anouk Chitty, Usha De Silva, Ahalya Rajan will also add to the healthy competition.
