B.A. Sanjeewa maintained his lead after round three, to complete a hat-trick of victories in the CAT SOLAR Pin Fernando Grand Prix, April Edition, sponsored by United Tractor and Equipment Pvt Ltd, at the Ridgeways.
Sanjeewa returned a final day score of one over par to aggregate 278 -- total six under par for the four rounds to win by one stroke from N. Amarapadma who fired a three under par to close in on Sanjeewa but failed by one shot.
Sisira Kumara maintained his third position whilst Pradeep Kumara too, played consistent Golf to finish in fourth place seven strokes adrift of the winner.
T. Akash proved his consistency with four rounds of 77, 6 over par to be the top junior with 308, aggregate of four rounds seven strokes ahead of Armand Flamer Caldera on 315.
Lamindi Rainika the top junior in February and March was a further four strokes behind Armand. However, Akash finished in 12th place among the overall Grand Prix field.
The standard of Golf displayed by the Sri Lankan Amateurs is very creditable with the top three players, under par over four rounds, 6, 5 and 3 under par respectively and fourth placed Pradeep Kumara one over par aggregate for the four rounds.
