Sri Lanka Navy excelled to clinch both men's and women's hockey titles at the Dutta 7 s and 6s Championships All-Island Inter-Club 7-a-side hockey for men and 6-a-side hockey tournament for women concluded at Vincent Dias stadium in Badulla.
The women's final was a home and home affair where Navy A beat Navy B by 2-0 with Chathurika Wijesooriya and Madura Dharmarathna netting a goal each for the winners.
In the men's final Navy B outplayed Army A by 1- 0 with Manoj Sampath firing the winning goal to annexe the title.
The two day hockey tournament, 3rd in the series conducted by old Duthians Hockey Association of Dharmadutha College Badulla saw 18 men's teams and 6 women's teams in the fray.
Chathurika Wijesooriya was named the best player in the women's segment while Manoj Sampath won the award for the men's best player
