Horseracing: Easter Horse Races on Sunday

The Easter Sunday Horse Racing Bonanza will take place at the Racecourse in Nuwara Eliya on Sunday (1).

A total of 39 thoroughbred horses are expected to run during the day, where the biggest race would be the Class 4 run, which includes a total of 12 horses.

The Class 1 will have the second highest number of runners -- 11 for the first time ever with the main reason being the combination of Class 2 and Class1 horses in a single run.

Following this event horse races will continue during the April Holiday Season with the SriLankan Airlines Magic Million on April 15, followed by the season closure on April 28.
