Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma and Sri Lanka top order batsman Dinesh Chandimal were handed a one-match ban each by the International Cricket Council. The players were banned for a match for the behaviour that breached the ICC code of conduct during the third Test between Sri Lanka and India at the SSC. On similar grounds, Sri Lankan players Dhammika Prasad and Lahiru Thirimanne were fined 50% of their match fees.
