The All Island Schools Netball Championship conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association with the blessings of the Minister of Education and sponsored by Nestle Lanka PLC for the 27th successive year is scheduled to be held from August 2 to 4 at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy.
The championship will see 480 schools around the island in the age groups of under 14, 16 and 18 in action with the participation over 5000 players.
The teams will categorised into two divisions with schools over 4000 students playing in the Division A and schools under 1000 students contesting in the Division B.
Last year Holy Family Convent Kurunegala clinched the overall title for the tenth successive year held at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla by emerging champions in the under 13 and under 18 age groups and runner up in the under 17 while Kalutara BV and Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo took the under 15 and 17 titles.
