Bandarapola Maha Vidyalaya beat Aluvihara Maha Vidyalaya in the final to emerge Under-18 Netball champions at the Matale Education Zone Inter-School Netball Championship 2017 for Nandimithra Ekanayake Challenge Shield played at Aluvihara Maha Vidyalaya ground Matale.
Rashini Vimalshika Ariyasena of Bandarapola MV was named as the best player in the Under-18 category Sri Sangamitta Girls School Matale secured the third place.
The tournament was conducted by the sports unit of Matale Zonal Education office.
The team led by Upeksha Chathurangani Dissanayaka included Sachini Ratnayake, Dushanthi Durga, Malsha Weerasingha, Rashini Vimalshika Ariyasena, Dilshani Dissanayake, Tharushika Ramanayaka, Dilshani Dissanayaka, Dilhani Karunadasa and Chalani Imasha Kumari.
