Havelock SC overcame a possible threat from Army SC as they emerged victorious by 29-19 in their first round match of the Dialog Rugby League Championship played at Police Park today (2).
The Soldiers took an early lead by Havies bounced back to regain control and take a 21-14 at halftime.
Amidst a heavy downpour, Havelocks sealed the win after scoring from four tries, three conversions and a penalty.
The Soldiers scored from three tries and two conversions.
