Royal College Colombo beat Isipathana College 14-10 to emerge champions of the Milo Under-14 Inter-School Rugby Tournament played at the Havelock Park on Tuesday (9).
Royal scored from two converted tries while Isipathana made their points through two unconverted tries.
In the Cup semi-finals Royal defeated traditional rivals Trinity College by 12-0 while Isipathana overpowered St. Peter's College by 21-5 in the second qualifiers.
Earlier in the quarter-finals Royal beat Dharmaraja College 14-7 while Isipathana edged out Wesley College by 5-0.
St. Peter's College defeated D.S. Senanayake College by 29-10 while Trinity recorded a narrow 5-0 win against hometown rivals St. Anthony's College in the other two quarter-final games.
In the Plate Championship final, Wesley College overcame Dharmaraja College by 7-5 in a close encounter.
Wesley scored from a converted try while the Rajans responded with an unconverted try.
Science College Mt. Lavinia beat Lumbini College by 10-0 in a final game to win the Bowl Championship after the winners scored from two unconverted tries.
In a traditional rivals' encounter Nalanda College beat Ananda College by 10-5 to secure the Shield Championship.
Nalanda scored from two unconverted tries while Ananda scored from an unconverted try.
