Sudath Sampath, the former Sri Lanka Sevens Rugby captain has been appointed as the Sevens Coach of the Sri Lanka Women's and Under-20 Men's teams, according to official sources.
Sampath, a Level 2 IRB Rugby Coach, led Isipathana College and turned out for Police SC, CR and FC and CH and FC as player and coach.
To assist Sampath, the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union has appointed Female Army Officer W.D.P.I. Tillekewardena and Jayan Goonatilleke as managers of Sri Lanka Women's and Sri Lanka Under-20 Men's teams respectively.
