Kulasekara, was the top-ranked bowler in the ICC ODI rankings from March 11, 2009 until September 26, 2009.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SLC, Ashley de Silva described the fast bowler as “an exemplary figure, both on and off the field and a role model, which the young cricketers can emulate”.
Sri Lanka clinched the series two-nil yesterday – the first home win in an ODI series for the island in 44 months, with one more match to go. The third ODI will be played on July 31 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
