Killer Whale Aquatics Club won the overall title of the National and Junior National Aquatic Championship concluded at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool in Colombo on Sunday (1). The overall winner accumulated 413 points in the Men’s segment thus winning the category while with 278 points Sri Lanka Navy were placed second followed by Royal College at third place. The Women’s category was won by Visakha Vidyalaya who connected 268 points. Killer Whale’s Mathew Abeysinghe was adjudged the top swimmer among men and I.E. Senanayake of Sri Lanka Army was named the best among women. In addition five new national records were established at the three-day meet. Royal College and Angel Swimming and Diving Academy won the Men’s and Women’s overall diving championship respectively.
