Young prodigy Udaya Ranasinghe and Harshani Devmilla won the Boy’s and Girls’ championships respectively at the All-Island Junior Table Tennis Tournament held at the Kegalu Vidyalaya Indoor Stadium. Udaya of Vidyartha College Kandy and Harshani of Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo won the respective titles by maintaining their supremacy in the Under-18 age category. Udaya beat Supuna Warshavithana of Ananda College Colombo and Harshani defeated Thamasthara Fernando of Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo in the Under-18 Boys’ and Girls’ finals respectively. The All Island Junior Table Tennis Tournament, for paddlers of Under-18, 15, 12 and 10, was organised by Kegalle District Table Tennis Association and was played at Kegalu Vidyalaya Indoor Stadium in Kegalle on October 9, 10 and 11.
