The annual Mercantile Tennis Championship, which began last week at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Colombo, is expected to come to an end on Sunday (10).
By today (4), the preliminary round matches of the Men's Singles and Women's Singles in Division I, have concluded the quarter-final stages.
The tournament will accelerate with the other segments from today with the finals scheduled to be played on Sunday.
The tournament includes 13 different categories -- Men's Singles Division I, Men's Singles Division II, Men's Singles Division III, Men's Singles Over-35, Men's Singles Over-45, Men's Singles Over-55, Women’s Singles, Men's Doubles, Men's Double Over-35, Men's Double Over-35, Men's Double Over-35, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
This will be the final event of the SLTA annual calendar for 2017.
