Tissa Central College Kalutara won the championship of the Inter-School Under-13 Division I Cricket Tournament.
To achieve this rare feat, Tissa Central defeated much fancied Prince of Wales College Moratuwa by first innings points at the Thurstan College ground in Colombo.
The final concluded as a 'No Decision' encounter.
Batting first Tissa Central posted 217-4 in 65 overs and Prince of Wales' could only muster 146-5 in 31.4 overs in reply.
Tissa Central, after having placed themselves ahead according to points, were declared the champions of the final.
Mithira Thenura scored an unbeaten 109 while Shashmika Weerasekara hit 51 for Tissa Central.
