The final round of the Dialog President’s Gold Cup Volleyball Championship has been postponed according to the organisers, the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVF).
The final round matches, where the tournament reaches its National Level, were scheduled for this weekend (December 2 and 3) at the Mahaweli ground in Embilipitiya.
The SLVF stated that it had to postpone the scheduled final round due to the prevailing inclement weather condition around the country.
The organisers added that the final rounds, or the National Level matches were set to feature 100 men’s and women’s district champions from the Open and Under-22 categories.
After lengthy discussions, the SLVF has re-scheduled the final rounds for the forthcoming weekend (December 9 and 10), but the venue will remain unchanged.
