WI in SL: West Indies make 206, Sri Lanka chase 190 for victory

Sri Lanka is set to chase 190 runs for victory after West Indies posted 206 runs for the loss of 9 wickets on Duckworth/Lewis Method in the rain-curtailed 3rd ODI at Pallekele today (7).   Sri Lanka won the toss and put West Indies into bat as the game was interrupted more than once revising the game to a 36-over affair.   West Indies were badly placed at 84 for the loss of six wickets at one stage but a fighting knock of 110 not out off 95 deliveries from Marlon Samuels helped them post a respectable total at the end.   Samuels hit 15 fours and a six during his knock helping the Windies keep their momentum on.   Dushmantha Chameera, Suranga Lakmal, Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis picked two wickets apiece.   West Indies made two changes as skipper Jason Holder and injured Denesh Ramdin made their way back into the side at the expense of Jason Mohammad and Jerome Taylor.   Sri Lanka made a change by bringing in speedster Dushmantha Chameera in place of spinner Sachithra Senanayake.   West Indies 206 for 9 wickets (36) (Marlon Samuels 110n.o, Jason Holder 19, Carlos Brathwaite 18, Dushmantha Chameera 2/39, Suranga Lakmal 2/40, Lasith Malinga 2/43, Ajantha Mendis 2/53) vs Sri Lanka   Sri Lanka: Kusal Perera (wk), TM Dilshan, Lahiru Thirimanne, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews (Capt), Milinda Siriwardana, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dushmantha Chameera, Ajantha Mendis, Lasith Malinga, Suranga Lakmal.
