Wrestling: Navy SC emerge overall National champions

Sri Lanka Navy men and women won the overall title of the Wrestling National Championships held at the Jeyraj Fernandopulle Indoor Stadium in Negombo.

This was the 18th occasion that the Sri Lanka Navy team won the wrestling national championships.

Navy won 12 medals including four gold, three silver and five bronze medals.

The three forces Army, Navy, Air Force and Police took part in the competition including several wrestling clubs island wide.

According to the championships wrestlers will be selected for the Wrestling National Pool for the South Asian Games to be held most probably in Kathmandu, Nepal.
