Regarded as the voice of Iran in the hostile Western media, Professor Syed Mohammad Marandi, who was a member of President EbrahimRaisi’s delegation to Sri Lanka, says West Asia will not see peace unless and until Israel abandons its policies of racial hierarchy, ethnic supremacism, and apartheid. In a wide-ranging interview with the Sunday Times journalist Ameen Izzadeen, Prof. Marandi, an expert in Orientalism, says the United States’ international clout is on the decline and any more sanctions on Iran will have little or no impact on the Islamic Republic.
