The Covid-19 positive patient who fled the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) hospital in Angoda this morning was later found outside the National Hospital by the hospital’s security staff.
The man whose photograph was widely circulated through social media platforms and tv channels no sooner he fled the NIID hospital was stopped when he tried to enter the National Hospital in Colombo. The security staff made the patient with a limp to sit on the wall outside the hospital and alerted a traffic policeman on duty outside the hospital.
