Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential Candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa pledged to undertake the responsibility to create a safe country, adding that arrested War Heroes would be freed immediately after his victory. He was speaking at the SLPP maiden election rally at Salgado Grounds in Anuradhapura.
Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned by the Bribery Commission following a statement he made supporting MP Chamara Sampath Dissanayake who is in custody.
