(BBC) A man has been arrested for carrying out a shooting and a knife attack in Nagano, Japan.
The victims of this attack were two police officers and two women. This murder was carried out with a foot-long blade and a hunting rifle.
The suspect was identified as Masanori Aoki, aged 31 years, and is the son of a local politician. Further investigations are underway by the Japanese Police.
Similar attacks are very rare in Japan. The last shocking news was the killing of Japan’s Ex-Prime Minister Shinzō Abe last year in July.
Japan’s government is strict on selling guns. Where only it's permitted for hunting rifles and air rifles are allowed to be sold to the citizens after undergoing a strict exam and a mental health test.
