Sportswear giant Nike says it is deeply concerned regarding the rape allegations made by Kathryn Mayorga, a teacher, against football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nike which has signed a contract which is reportedly worth US$ 1 million with Ronaldo also added that it will closely monitor the situation.
However, Ronaldo denies assaulting Ms. Mayorga at a Las Vegas Hotel in 2009
Earlier, Ms. Mayorga said that the #MeToo movement inspired her to speak out regarding the incident.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
