Back home party for Sondra
Our cover girl Sondra Wise, who is presently on a short visit from the USA, was a well known personality in Sri Lanka some time back. Sondra was popularly known as a leading vocalist, who performed with some of the well known bands in Sri Lanka such as Ecstasy, Chandimal Fernando Trio.She was also known in the fashion industry, when she modelled frequently for top designers in the country.
 
Arthur unspools movie memories
Veteran journalist Arthur U Amarasena will launch the first volume of 'Sinhalaye Maha Cinema Wansahaya' - a detailed account of the Sinhala cinema industry and a book on local film journalism at a ceremony which will be held in Colombo on March 3. The event will be held at the J.R. Jayewardene Centre in Colombo at 4 pm with the participation of top film world personalities and other distinguished guests.
