The inaugural competition of Inter-School Quiz Competition "Minds of Tomorrow" organized by the Sampath Bank Kandy Corporate Branch, in collaboration with Daily Mirror and Sunday Times will take place on the 07th March 2009 at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel, Kandy.

There will be teams from 20 leading schools in the Kandy district vying for the "Minds of Tomorrow Trophy", Individual Certificates of Merit, Cash Prizes and Gift Vouchers.

The areas of concentration for the quiz would be Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Sports, Art and Entertainment and School curriculum related General Knowledge.

The Winners will be securing the Minds of Tomorrow Trophy, Individual certificates and cash Prizes to the school.

The quiz master for the event will be Mr. Ruwan Senanayake, Sri Lanka Representative of the International Quizzing Association.

Sampath Bank is proud to be the initiating this effort which will help sharpen the young minds and build better awareness among the school children of their surroundings. The bank believes that the future generation would immensely benefit by such exercises that help expand their knowledge horizons.
The bank hopes to host this event annually.
