The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects 27th annual conference and exhibition to be held from March 3-8 at the BMICH will have as its theme “Doing more with less”.
The trade exhibition, open from 10 am to 8 pm, will have over 400 stalls, catering to all housing needs, provided by building material manufacturers and dealers, contractors, furniture and equipment manufacturers, a host of service providers as well as the construction industry.
Speaking on the significance of the event, architect Jayantha Perera said: “As a country, we are at the crossroads of a new era and the need for expertise from architects is going to be unprecedented.
“Our theme for this year’s national conference ‘Doing more with less’ is very appropriate in today’s context, in terms of promoting sustainable development and eco-friendly and energy efficient buildings and cities.” |
