Tooth Relic exposition - DN seeks extension

By Shane Seneviratne

Selected persons are to be given a special opportunity to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic at the Sri Dalada Maligawa next month during an extended exposition of the relics.

The official exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic was announced as from March 6 to March 16, but another letter has been sent out mainly to residents of Ratnapura and selected persons that they would be given a ‘special opportunity’ from March 17 to 19 to pay homage.

However the Diyawadana Nilame told The Sunday Times that he had sent the letter in a private capacity, though the Mahanayaka Theras are yet to grant approval.
