The Ceylinco Development Bank (CDB) will launch a new re-branding strategy next month in which a new logo will be unveiled.
The company said it has called an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of shareholders for April 30 in a bid to garner shareholder approval for its new name. The head office will also be shifted to a different location in Colombo.
In addition, the statement from the company said it was in the process of reconstituting its Board of Directors by appointing two independent directors. They are Harindranath Gunawardena and Namal Chrishantha Gomes.
The company aims to further strengthen the CDB's Board of Directors by these two appointments and to have these new directors head the Sub-Committees of the Board. It added that these appointments would reinforce the measures being taken by the CDB to position itself as an independent institution directly regulated and supervised by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The profile of the Board comprises two fellow chartered accountants, one double accountant with a MBA, one management accountant with a MBA, one chartered marketer with a MBA, a member of the British Computer Society who has a Master's in Information Engineering, while being a chartered management accountant. |
