Otterbein College (www.otterbein.edu) located in Westerville; a suburb of Columbus Ohio in the United States of America is pleased to announce the arrival of four international students for spring quarter 2009. Students, Ishara Guruge, Senha Fernando, Shevantha Abeyasekera (all from Lyceum International Nugegoda) have started as freshmen and Rashaine Thomas (from American National College with Patten credits) as a transfer student.

The four students represent the largest group of students to enter Otterbein College from Sri Lanka at one time but are not the first. Otterbein has welcomed students from Sri Lanka for many years but never has there been a group of students entering at one time in recent years.

The students were placed by Priyanthi Dissanayake (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) - Island's top independent student recruiter to U.S. with whom Otterbein College has recently formed an exclusive relationship offering all students placed by her exclusive and amazing financial aid packages and instant admission decisions.

"The students will enrich the campus culture immensely with their ability to add perspective from a group opinion, sharing differences and likenesses while engaging the American students in conversation and ideals," stated Dr. Thomas Stein, Vice President for Enrollment. The students attend classes Monday through Friday averaging three classes per quarter. The academic calendar is arranged in three ten week periods which allowed the four students to get started this spring.
