The mission of ISA is,
- A quality international experience for every teacher and every student.
- Rewarding Outstanding work done by schools by adding an international dimension to the curriculum
All the curriculum areas have consciously considered developing an international perspective where appropriate. The teachers from different subject areas have regularly worked together to promote the international concept.
The links were built with schools in various countries, throughout the world. Teachers explored all practical opportunities for students to visit places, which are relevant to the project. Hence they were competent enough to take over any challenges of any global issues. The cultural and ethnic diversity in our own community is celebrated and valued. It helped students to understand issues of human rights and develop a sense of social justice, commitment to gender and racial equality. In addition they quenched their thirst on global and local environmental issues.
n Regular extra curricular activities provided the students further opportunities to develop international awareness. ISA fostered and encouraged positive attitudes to take part in the global community. All the students, teachers, parents and well wishers and the school community increased their awareness of the world getting changes economically, culturally, socially and technologically and fostering a greater sense of independency.
The commitment of the Principal Dr. Asoka Senanani Hewage and the untiring efforts of the Deputy Principal - Mrs. Sumedha Jayaweera and the ISA Co-ordinating team Mr. Rizan Hameed, Mrs. Nimali Kuruppu, Mrs. Neetha Palihena and the students by their dedication, commitment and devotion have brought fame to the school. |
