Inspiring the Next, Career Fair 2009 - University of Kelaniya
Knowledge is the new oil. It's time to stake your claim

You want a go getter. They want a challenge. It could be a match made at this career fair. They are Sri Lanka's smartest, and they're available on a limited basis. This event is unique in the sense it is heavily focused on achieving synergy via collaboration of company expectations with undergraduate qualifications.

Clearly this is not your average job fair. Starting months in advance of the day of interviews, chosen students undergo training which helps them develop their soft skills and personality traits. Comprised of development sessions, workshops and a myriad of other activities, this initiative is one of the most ambitious of its kind.

This phase of workshops and training sessions play out till the middle of June, culminating in the Career Fair itself, on June 16.. On this day employers from around the country will interview candidates who took part in the workshops, and will select the most suitable participants. All in all, the participating companies will have access to the cream of Sri Lanka's brains, with the added bonus of corporate sensitivity in each of them. In a corporate environment where millions are spent on recruitment annually, this Career Fair is the perfect opportunity for employers to capitalize on this fresh human capital.

Instead of confining themselves to the traditional objective of providing undergraduates with employment, the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya has gone a step further by creating an environment for those undergraduates to face the transition from academics to professionals smoothly. With two months of useful training under their belts, these undergraduates will certainly be ready to impress and empower the best of Sri Lanka's corporate world. We urge the companies that are interested in participating in this programme to register early and avail themselves in this fantastic opportunity to meet the candidates who will shape the future of the Sri Lankan economy.

Inspiring the Next, Career Fair and Personal Development Programme for the year 2009 will be held on June 16 at the University of Kelaniya and seeks to bring together hundreds of new graduates and the best of Sri Lanka's corporate world Stake your claim, or someone else will.
