‘Vandana’ on Rupavahini

This poyaday ‘Vandana’, a monthly programme produced by veteran teledrama director Rodney Vidanapathirana highlights the world renowned ‘Sasana ramsi’ Burmese Buddhist temple in Singapore.

The programme telecast at 9.05 pm on July 6 on Rupavahini features the beautiful temple with its Burmese architecture and statues which is famous for its history. The temple’s sculpture and carvings are made up of wood, metal and granites is a living identity of world famous Burmese culture and tradition.

‘Sasana ramsi Burmese Buddhist temple’ is well-known for its valuable golden Buddha statue presented by the King of Thailand in 1915.

Produced by Dr. Lailwala G. Godakanda and it is camera directed by Keni Lee. Wasantha Rohana has voiced the programme which was music directed by Nimal Gunasekara.

‘Vandana’, the monthly programme telecast on every Poya Day is directed by the experienced journalist, writer and well-known teleplay maker Rodney Vidanapathirana.
