Griffin girls here next year

The Griffin Girls Under 19 Rugby team from Southern California will be touring Sri Lanka come July next year. They will play two matches – one in Colombo and the other in Kandy.

Coach of the team Ravi Perera speaking to the Sunday Times said; “The Griffin Girls is one of only eight All Star teams in the USA. This will also be the first time that Sri Lanka’s Women’s team will be playing international 15-a-side rugby. I will also be bringing a coaching team to conduct three coaching camps for kids ranging from the ages 9 to 14 in Colombo, Kandy and Galle.”

Perera who helped Embilipitiya MMV with a load of rugby equipment said in conclusion; “This time around I will be a conducting a coaching camp for the Sri Lanka Women’s Sevens team and divisional coaches today at the CR and FC Grounds at Longden Place”.
