BCS Chartered Institute of information Technology (CIIT) - Higher Education Qualifications (HEQ) formally known as the British Computer Society Professional Examinations is currently offered in three levels namely Certificate in IT, Diploma in IT and PHD in IT. The HEQ examinations are offered twice a year and students can complete the full examination in just two years of study.

The above brief introduction was given for you as parents or guardians to obtain a basic idea of the global IT examination. Via this article we want to convey to all parents and guardians who have made the efforts for your child until the G.C.E O/L exanimation. Traditionally you will without any doubt want your child to further continue in his /her G.C.E A/L examinations. We would like to convey some very interesting facts with regard to this.

"Do you Know"
"Approximately 300,000 students sit for the G.C.E O/L examination each year.
"From the above number do you know only 50% of candidates pass the examination each year and are therefore eligible for the G.C.E A/L examination, this number is approximately 150,000.
"From the above only about 20,000 students are eligible for one of the 14 universities in Sri Lanka each year.

"From this number only 12,000 eventually graduate from the university each year.

Path 01 - If your child starts the G.C.E A/L in 2010 he or she will be completing the G.C.E A/L only in 2012 and thereafter will enrol for the university in 2012 or 2013. The three year acedamic degree at the local university enables your child to complete the degree only in 2015/2016.

Path 02 - If your child starts the BCS - CIIT- HEQ examinations with MATRIX then he/she will be able to complete the entire Degree in just two years, which is in April 2012 and further start and complete the Master's qualification by 2014 and even start the Phd in 2015.

If your child selects the fist path by 2015 most probably he/she will complete the university degree, but if you opt for the second option then he/she will be able to complete his Master's qualification and furthermore be employed either locally or abroad.

The BCS CIIT HEQ examinations help you to achieve this very easily. Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)

Austaralian Computer Society (ACS)
Australian Computer Society (ACS) Diploma in IT provides any candidate to achieve several credit points when migrating to Australia. MATRIX conducts classes for the ACS Diploma in IT and will be arranging a full time batch for the Programme. The full time programme which will commence in January 2010 will be for the June 2010 examinations. The total fee is LKR. 99,900. The first instalment is LKR 39,900 and the balance can be paid in six equal instalments of LKR 10,000 each. The ACS Diploma in IT will be the first year of an IT degree and will provide students a direct entry to the second year of an Australian Degree locally or even overseas.
