The Colombo Magistrate’s Court on Thursday ordered the AG’s Department to constitute two committees to oversee the management of the Fingara Club and and Fingara Cricket Academy, formerly owned by the failed Ceylinco Group.
The Fingara Club management committee should comprise three members of the Board of Directors of the F and G Company (earlier managing it), four from the Depositors Association and one from the Merchant Credit Leasing Company while the Fingara Cricket Academy committee should comprise two directors of F&G, three from the Depositors Association and two from the coaches of cricketers training at the Academy, according to the ruling.
Fingara has been taken over by Merchant Credit Leasing in a settlement of a Rs.100 million loan taken by F&G.
