Former LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran's mother who was trying to enter India for medical treatment was turned away at the Chennai airport last night.
She was arriving from Malaysia but prevented from leaving the aircraft.
Ms. Parvathi in her early 80s is suffering from paralysis and was in a wheelchair.
An Indian report said that she was sent back as allowing her to land was considered “a threat to law and order in the Tamil Nadu State.” |
