Graduation ceremonies are the events organized to congratulate and admire the academic achievements of students.
This is the day on which all the hard work of students in the silence of nights, their hassles and rush on working days to attend an evening lecture and their sacrifices in achieving the dreams of their lives are rewarded. Therefore, this day is a milestone in the academic career of any student and perhaps a testament for their potential to proceed towards academic and professional excellence.
As a reputed private educational institution in the island, Singapore Informatics is proud to produce a significant amount of graduates each year, which will most definitely contribute towards the industrial and economic development of the country.
Our graduates are armed with the power of critical thinking to solve the most difficult challenges posed by the ever evolving knowledge economy. Being a pioneer in the country's educational growth, Singapore Informatics has also produced a certain number of world best students among the eighty eight centres of Informatics Academy of Singapore, located across the Asia Pacific region.
Evidently, three students of Singapore Informatics namely, Ashana Hapuarachchi, Achini Madushika, and Tyrone Thomas have won the most recent world prizes for the year 2009.
Singapore informatics Computer Institute (City Campus) maintains a long tradition of academic excellence. The aforementioned students won the world prizes for International Diploma and Advanced Diplomas in IT last year.
At Singapore Informatics the local lecturers' role is neither preparing the exam papers, nor marking final exam answer scripts, not even moderating it, but facilitate student learning through lectures, tutorials and discussion sessions.
In the above context, competing with the students who have been taught and prepared by the same professor who set the exam paper is rather challenging and astonishing as well. This is the unique feature of Informatics academia and we are determined to produce such students in the future as well.
