Vilokana 2010, a photography exhibition showcasing selected works of the Photography Diploma holders of the Drama and Theatre and Image Arts Unit of the Kelaniya University will be held from July 30 to August 1, at the National Art Gallery, Colombo.
The exhibition, to be declared open by Kelaniya University Vice Chancellor Prof. Sarath Amunugama at 4 p.m. on Thursday, will also see the distribution of awards and diploma certificates among students who have completed the one-year course, the organisers of the exhibition said.
Veteran photographers H. M. R. Perera, D. K. Lanti and Wijaya Basnayake will receive special Vilokana Seyabhimani Awards at the ceremony for their contributions to Sri Lankan photography.
The exhibition is open from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following two days.
