Toastmasters International provides leadership and communication training that is less expensive and is held in high esteem in business circles. This organization has been around for more than 85 years and offers a proven and enjoyable way to practice and master communication and leadership skills.

Serendib Toastmasters Club is an open club which started in 2004. During this short period the club has twice achieved president's distinguished club status. It has also produced winners in district and international speech contests.

Presently, the club has 25 registered members who are entrepreneurs, corporate executives, engineers and students etc. In addition to the regular club activities, Serendib Toastmasters Club conducts youth leadership programmes in schools and speech crafter programmes at various organizations.

The club is hosting their installation ceremony to install the office bearers for 2010/2011 on Wednesday 4 August 2010 at Salakawa, Colombo 03.
