A Twin Programme - Bs Biology + General Medicine - Md at Angeles University Foundation and Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine. PATHE ACADEMY is pleased to offer a twin programme for studying medicine at the Angeles University Foundation and the Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine in Philippines for those desirous of pursuing medical education overseas.

Under the proposed programme, prospective students would initially enter the Angeles University Foundation where they will follow a BS Biology programme of 2 years duration, in preparation for the MD programme.

On successful completion of the said BS programme they would transfer to the Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine to follow the General course of Medicine - MD programme of 4 years duration. The special feature of this twin programme is that the course fee is comparatively low, vis-a-vis all other options available for studying medicine elsewhere.

Angeles University Foundation - (AUF) the 1st leg (stopover) of the twin programme.
Angeles University Foundation (AUF) is located in Angeles City, 80 kilometres north of Manila. AUF was established in May 1962, initially as a non-stock, non-profit educational institution. After less than 9 years of successful operation it was granted university status in April, 1971 by the Department of Education, Culture & Sports of the Republic of Philippines.

Today, the Angeles University Foundation is a world-class higher educational institution, committed to excellence in instruction, research and community services and is considered a premier university in the region.

Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine - (UERM) the 2nd leg ( stopover) of the twin programme.
This institution is officially known as the 'University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical College' (UERMMMC or shortly used as UERM) while commonly called as 'Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine.

UERM is located in Quezon City which is considered a part of metropolitan Manila. Quezon City was the capital of Philippines from 1948 to 1976.

This institution originated as a college of commerce in 1946 and gained university status in 1950 with the addition of five more colleges. The College of Medicine was formed in 1956 and since then it remains the centerpiece of the UERM. Soon it became acknowledged as one of the three best colleges of medicine in Philippines. The UERM was named after Ramon Magsaysay, the 3rd President of the Philippines, after his death in March 1957.

The degree of MD - Doctor of medicine, awarded by both the AUF and the UERM is recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council, General Medical Council (UK) and many others and also enlisted in the World Health Organisation (WHO), Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduate (ECFMG) of USA etc.
