Nalanda Motocross 2010’, the motor racing competition organized by Nalanda Junior Old Boys Association will be held at Navinna motor cross track on October 17, 2010.
This competition will be held for the first time aiming the development of motor sports in the country especially in Colombo and suburbs.
Sri Lanka Racing Riders Association (SLRRA), Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Club and Maharagama Sports Club contribute to make this event a success together with Nalanda Junior Old Boys Association.
Nalanda Motocross is the only motor cross competition conducted within Colombo and suburbs. The other specialty of this competition is that this is conducted at a track acclaimed by local and international riders.
A large number of local and international riders are intended to participate in this event. “The top 75 riders in Sri Lanka will participate at this Nalanda Motocross 2010” said Mr. Gamini Withana, the coordinator of the event.
Nalanda Motocross – 2010 will be conducted in under 18 events. It would consist of a street open, racing open, veteran open competitions and an under 10 racing competition for children as well. There will be an off road show and antique car exhibition parallel to Nalanda Motocross 2010. |
