The Ranabima Kandy team, Inter-District baseball champions |
Ranabima, Kandy led by L.S. Mannauthum emerged champions at the Inter-District Knock-Out Baseball Competition organized by the Sri Lanka Baseball Association which concluded at the University Grounds in Colombo. In the run up to the final, Ranabima Kandy overcame stiff opposition from Maroons SC and Mahinda SC.
Fifteen leading baseball teams from all parts of the island took part in the three day contest.
The deputy skippers of Ranabima Kandy were S.U. Jayaratne and D.A.C. Wijewantha. The energetic secretary of Ranabima Kandy is C.S. Cooray.
