The Business School, Professional Education arm of the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) will be made the HR Campus in Asia by expanding it to a degree and postgraduate awarding institute, IPM President , Ajith R de Costa said at the Annual Graduation Ceremony held on October 25 at Galadari Hotel. Also he hopes that the University Grants Commission will provide IPM sufficient support to make it a reality.

He said IPM Business School courses demand knowledge/skills that empower and provide effective leadership in managing people. Therefore IPM wishes its members to be the change agents and HR leaders of this country to help in the government development plans.
The institute has produced leaders who are holding strategic key positions in both public and private sectors and its student base increased to 3500.
Therefore IPM wishes to see their members and students performing in their career in the field of Human Resources management and become champions of people management.
The IPM has taken every step to provide necessary People Management competencies in order to play a significant role in preferred professions.
He further said now our country is set for a boom period after ending 30 years of brutal war. Some of our members who are in Sri Lankan forces were the key players to eradicate terrorism from our motherland.
People Management is a mandatory requirement in this era and as such IPM's ultimate goal is to encourage and educate people to make a positive change in society. It is necessary to use knowledge and skills in the right direction in order to make something beneficial to society at large.
Now is the time to think out of the box and covert your skills and knowledge into your vision. Creative ideas and innovations always can generate new and meaningful employment for society, Mr. Ajith R de Costa , President - IPM Sri Lanka said. |
